  Santorini Day and Sunset Cruise


 

My crew and I welcome you aboard the  S/Y Eleftheria  for a day of relaxation.  Eleftheria is a one of a kind 
" trehandiri  "  the "all Greek" wooden sail-boat.  The boat was designed especially for the Aegean to be
as stable as possible and the name relates to a fast boat used to transfer people and goods to the Islands.



The S/Y Eleftheria is the only Greek traditional boat departing from Vlyhada port and cruising to the caldera. 
 Feel the difference. 
Daily, at 10.00 & 15:30, we depart from VLYHADA . On the way, you can enjoy, having drinks, listening to music, sunbathing, swimming or just plain basking in the sun   r-e-l-a-x-i-n-g.


The advantages of the VLYHADA departures is that on the way to the Volcano you can see and swim at the Red and White beach, sail past the Venetian Lighthouse (Faros) and enter the Caldera from the south which has the best view of Fira,  Imerovigli,  the Old Port and the Volcano.
Swim at the  Hot Springs and Aspronisi, and see the sun set on the horizon.

                   SUNSET CRUISE

 
  An evening cruise for an afternoon swim at the Red & White Beach, and afterwards a sail to the centre of the Caldera to the Volcano and the Hot Springs. Fresh meat B.B.Q. dinner served at the south bay of Palea Kammeni. Sunset in the middle of the Caldera and back to port. Wine, ouzo, coffee, soft drinks .
Transfers to & from your hotel included.

                 DAY CRUISE FIVE HOURS

  A cruise to the Red beach, a stop for a swim then, on to the White beach and the Lighthouse. Later on, we sail to the Volcano for a swim at the Hot Springs and a cruise in the Caldera. Anchor down at Aspronisi for lunch.
Fresh meat B.B.Q. Wine, ouzo, coffee, soft drinks.

           FULL DAY CRUISE TO ANAFI
  A cruise to Anafi Island east of Santorini. The small paradise
in the middle of the Aegean will probably be the next place tourism will discover. Sunbathe on the golden beach, visit and explore the quayside, or walk up to the village above the harbour. Meals beverages and transfers included.

Full day cruise around Santorini with all the advantages the Island has to offer. We will visit the Red and White beach, Aspronisi, the Hot Springs, Thirasia, Amoudi, and all the north side of Santorinis Caldera.

Sailing with a traditional wooden sail-boat is a pleasure that few people experience.

Boarding - coffee - tea - soft music.

Anchor up and we are off to the famous  RED BEACH  This will be the first swim for the day.
Blue - Green  water and a scenery of  RED.!!! 

Vlihada to Red Beach aprox 20 min
 

The  WHITE  BEACH  awaits. 
A close pass and a quick stop to see this small but beautiful creation of nature. White Chalk creations rising from the sea .
Caves and lava layers of amazing colors that have formed by the sea and wind will make cameras come to life.

Now we are off to  SANTORINIS CALDERA  and the   HOT SPRINGS

The natural volcanic springs between the old and new crater. Cruising between the two craters the old and the new is an experience we will remember all our life. The water has a temperature of about 35 degrees Celsius and it contains sulfur which is vitalizing for your body & skin.

We had our swim and our mud-bath.

Now its time to taste Santorinis wines and  MEZEDES  right in the middle of the Caldera     
The small Island of  ASPRONISI on the south west part of the  CALDERA  will be our host.

Engine off and the food is served!

Fresh meat or seafood B.B.Q. Local Cheese and sundried tomato’s Kalamatas olives, Tzaziki, Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves)  
Greek salad and wood oven baked bread.

Relax explore the Island  have another swim or more wine - the Sunset is approaching.

Hot Springs to  ASPRONISI  aprox 15min

 


The time has come to move into place to watch the Sunset.

We have chosen this particular spot on the southern part of the island because its the only place where you can see the real sunset.  

The sun falling in the sea and not behind another island.
